and heres the cause of my nervy journey this morning!! Here we have Michelle standing disgruntled (although not too disgruntled as she's still smiling!) on top while Scott is struggling to keep a hold of the lovely Lucy who would rather be chasing the cat than posing for wedding photos!!! A first for us today at Cake Mamma, our first civil partnership ceremony. Very many congratulations to Kerry-Ann and Ashley it was lovely to see you today and you both looked stunning. Marie and Robert came to see me, some time ago now, with a picture of the tree that was to feature in the theming of their wedding day. She shared her ideas for her dream wedding cake and I, very nervously, applied black fondant to an ivory cake!!! Thankfully the desired result was achieved and the tree pride of place under them on the cake. Tiers of vanilla, chocolate orange, toffee and fruit provided the stage for Robert and Marie on top. Ok we kicked off the week with the emergency wedding cake to Castle Stuart for the new Mr & Mrs Hasaad who flew in from Jordan. Unfortunately didn't have time to do anything more elaborate, and possibly more eastern, in style. The brief was peach and ivory so stayed with a traditional style and the cake arrived at Castle Stuart an hour before the wedding took place. #mammapulleditoff!!!

This is a 3 tier, double height ruffle cake with diamante trim and large handmade fondant roses. A bit different from anything you have seen from me so far, hope you like it, I loved making it :o)
